Well i guess i was wrong, you didn't change a bit since like 1-2 years back. Have always dream of being a celebrity's child or a billionaire's child.
Isn't it good to be born in a wealthy family? Parents who are educated, caring, up-to-date and most importantly understanding.

Well having to be born in a family whereby there is celebs around isn't that good though. Having to said that, the recent happening about a actor's daughter fallen victim to the totally unnecessary attentions. So you might think being born in a multi-millionaire/billionaire will be good. Yes, money will never be a headache for you but having that much of money to spend, being spoiled with money and not having the attentions giving by the parents. Will that be the life you want to live?
Well, sad to say none of the above mentioned suits the family am born in. My family isn't very well off nor is it above average. Its just a normal family with income that earn just enough to feed everyone in the household and pay off the bills. So money has always been a problem to me, getting allowance which is much lesser than almost everyone i know at my age. Not getting any subsidy from parents if am getting any IT gadgets (eg. handphone, ipod etc;) Every gadgets i own now were all paid off by saving irregularly. How I wish that I could just say 'Pa, I want ipod touch' and he will just buy it for me.
The age gap between me and my parents are at least 40 years, they are still having the traditional mindset but have open up a little bit already yet it still not enough. The gap is too big, when they are young they don't stay out late, go out often, buy new stuffs often, not to mention no computer. During primary school, i don't even go out with my friends. I have to head home right after school. Even i'm in secondary school, i do have curfew which is by 2200 must be home. They just dont understand teenagers in the 21st century, we need FREEDOM.
Am not afraid to say that my family isn't what outsiders think it will be. To me, its like a broken family, no offence but its similar to a divorce family with children. How much worst can it turn out to be after years and years, the situation still stays the same without having any damn improvement?
I really hope... ... ....

Hais, time really flies. After studying for 3 years in Poly, i am finally a diploma holder. There are some ups n downs in the past 3 years, 1 of the ups will be meeting the classmates i spent 2years together and lets not talk about the downs yea.

For some people, they might think diploma only what nothing special. Yes, diploma holders are almost everywhere but its a big milestone after like 20 years of your life. Singapore, certificates play a very big part in the working society another part will be job experiences.

Its tough to find a job, diploma holders basic salary would start around 1.8k++ yet foreign talents would have a starting pay of at least 2.4k onwards and it might increase few years down the road.

What the fuck? Cursing is part of life, and definitely army life.

In the army, different classes mix. The English-educated middle-class folks who come from 'good' homes, will mingle with the working class folks, who probably have their own expressions of masculinity and working class pride.

Some people like to drink their milk, say their prayers and be 'good', and there are some who like to puff their cigarettes, say their "chee bye"s (vaginae, the plural of vagina by the way) and be respected.

The army is also one place where class not only conflates into one (unless you a treasured white-horse to be bubble-wrapped), but also the common performance of masculinity. It makes us more "man" when we celebrate misogyny, sexual prowess (not with other men, as that is very much shunned upon) and smelly vaginae. It's the one place where we share this working class connection.

It's really interesting that when men in the army try to be more 'masculine' by picking up traits characteristic of working class males - smoking, tattoos, maybe drinking, cursing in Chinese dialect (a sign that you are street smart), speaking broken English, walking like you had a swollen penis and testicles.

In some working class settings, you are "sissy" if you spoke good English any way. You must be yonic-centric in your communication, for example and loosely translated, "Penetrate Broken Smelly Vaginae! That vagina bus took such a fornicating long time! Your horse vagina!"

Seriously, if you want an organisation to champion cervix cancer awareness, look to the Singapore Armed Forces. They are obsessed with female genitalia as if their masculinity depended on it.

Well, that is how the army runs. But in Singapore, we resist conscription based on principle. Even if you detest this mentality, you cannot choose to not enlist based on what you believe in.

Madam Wee's boys will understand that this is society's rites of passage for boys to become men - to get acquainted with working class values. It can be very jarring for most middle class folks any way. Cursing in Hokkien is one good way to perform this brand of masculinity. You need your healthy dose of "chee bye"s to become recognised as a man in the army. Very heterosexist, and very sexist.

But there is the occasional exercise of restraint, as the working class character takes upon itself the role of the middle-class gentleman. They cut down on the misogyny and cursing in the presence of female staff.

There is nothing gentlemanly in NS. There is bullying, psychological and physical. And there are the cover-ups. For every "vagina" that is uttered in the army, there is someone covering up something. When you pride yourself in reputation and image, you will pride yourself in covering up and perhaps lying.

Any way, I feel all the performances of gender in the army is ridiculous. The institution of the army leverages on gender stereotypes and heterosexist norms to create the conformity they need. Of course these features are just extra toppings on the reality that national service is compulsory.

We are here to defend interests beyond ours. We are alienated from our physical and emotional labour as we sacrifice our youths for the nation's goals, some of which some of us do not believe in. Like I said before, when they talk about "defending what's ours", I would see it as "defending what's (y)ours!"

RAIN = TAKE COVER! so wrong so wrong. we as motivators aint gonna take cover cause we didnt have any instructions about what to do when it rains. so stand at our own positions.
i helped abour 3-4 kids find their ponchos and wear it. haha. they seems so helpless under the rain, so innocent looking. then anxiousness took over their faces. WHERE IS MY RAINCOAT?! haha. i asked 2 of them when it drizzle when the show just started that are they finding their ponchos? they answered me no. then okay loh. then when it really starts to rain heavily, both of them are like opening up theirs bags searching here n there. so funny. haha. then helped them put it on. the head always come out from the wrong hole. haha. keep on apologising to them. haha.
then one of them ask me why i never wear the raincoat. i answer her. cause we are not given! oh. they even initiate to lend me their umbrella. thanks anyway. but i think your need it more than me. haha. the ponchos is quite useless anyway. right infront of me. there are two of the St Nics student not wearing their ponchos nia! 2 of them are sharing one tiny puny umbrella. they said their ponchos got HOLES. then show me the sad face. haha. dont know they crying anot. haha.
so yeah. all wet.

Since today is another lonely day at home i guess i will just blog whatever that comes to my mind. I really have no clue about my life right now. Everything seems hazy and uncertain, there's so much doubt in everything now I'm getting confused too.

Its not that I'm perfect. I know i'm far from being perfect and i cant be totally perfect. But despite these imperfections i think my life is quite good the way it is already.

I'm just a typical human being, born flawed to this flawed world. I can't be everyone's favourite person, nor can i be one who is hate-free. I know there are people who dislike me, but i guess its only my fault too. One thing's for sure, Ive never hated them. If you (don't know me and) hate me, its really fine you know. That's because maybe the way I've portrayed myself may not be to your liking. But truth is you don't even know me and are just making presumptuous comments based on what you see. Its just karma. And frankly, I really don't mind them as long as I have people who'd stick by me thick or thin.

So you guys out there , do your ever wondered why Michael Jackson was so damn fucked up? Look to the family, specifically his dad Joe Jackson for the answer. The only thing Joe is grieving is the recent loss of his meal ticket. In one of the most bizarre Jackson family moments ever, Michael Jackson's father gave his first public interview Sunday at the BET Awards in Los Angeles. Just a warning, this is really difficult to watch especially at the 3:12 mark when Joe barely musters the strength to plug his new record label. Joe was very short with his answers about Michael, understandably heavy conversation for a red carpet interview. But Joe Jackson did take the time to plug record label Ranch Records. Heartbreaking stuff here, Joe Jackson is just plugging away before his son's body is even in the ground.

Damn, what an evil old man? I guess Michael Jackson is dead and cannot bring in money anymore so he is useless to Joe now. Joe jackson showed himself to be a real bastard to come on television plugging his new label. His wife and family should divorce him, like I think Michael Jackson basically did.
